    A small bat that was spotted blasting off with the space shuttle Sunday and clinging to the back side of Discovery's external fuel tank apparently held on throughout the launch.

    I read about that. He didn't let go at lift off, wonder how far he made it.
    Escaped on a technicality.

                I'd say right up to the point where he approached the engine nacelles....they get quite toasty from what I hear.
