This is ridiculous….I didn't realize grown men could act like this. And that a bunch of internet posts by one person could stir up so much shit with so many people. Some of you guys are worse than a damn sewing circle. There are lots of people that have responded on this, that I thought where above it. That I think have really showed their true colors. I mean its the damn internet boys….at least at YB there is no doubt what you are getting yourself into and at the HAMB this would have never escalated to this level. I mean a thread about a thread about a person who was banned give me a break, I thought this was about the cars.

I think some feelings were hurt when John suggested that part of Larson's "Team" was not in the car, maybe asleep in the back of the station wagon, and that part of Larson's "Pit Crew" WAS in the car, probably tuning it. Next thing I know, it's the same old thing. We all know John needs to muzzle himself from time to time but I haven't seen the "The Emperor is Not Naked" rule in print here - I though it was okay to express an opinion. A thread lock seemed more appropriate, but then that sort of sends the same message the ban did.

I think you're reading thw wrong post. My gripe is that he is on here making up stories to get attention when the truth is not working for him. Try being the target sometime and let me know how that feels. The rest is fine with me, i didnt do any tuning onboard after the event started, that was obvious to anyone in attendance. Youre free to hypothesize all you want, I dont care about the opinions of the nonparticipating commentators. Just dont lie.

I haven't looked, but rumor has it that there is actually a new diagnosis in the last DSM (5, I believe) that describes a person who, in real life, is a relatively decent individual; but who thrives on causing controversy on the internet. BDSM makes some people happy, sends others to the cops as assault victims... same thing with these individuals, they get pleasure out of causing division. In one of my squabbles with Speedy, I pointed out, after he made another of his derisive comments, that he just isn't funny. He took that quite personally... anyway, it's Sunday morning, I agree with DG, and frankly I'm finding this entire thread humorous because I'm sure he's reading it and going nuts because he's unable to comment. Life is good.

Why not let him post (or anybody) and just not comment? My poor spelling and typing skills limited pretty much all my post so I usually say nothing.

The reality is that I was the one who sent Chad the note to pull the plug on the guy. I am not saying that to sound like some sort of bad ass but to clarify that it was not the subject of his ire as much as it was the fact he was driving people away that have been here for years. I had a guy ask me about it at ECTA. I explained that we take zero pleasure in doing that to someone and to be honest, I was one of the few guys that enjoyed John's point on view on many things. He wrote front page blogs for a while that were good and got people talking. It is like if you owned a restaurant and you had a guy that showed up every day and bought the best steak you sold, but two weeks in he started to annoy your other customers and then they threatened to stop showing up, despite efforts to dial the guy down. Ultimately you have to make a decision.

It is what it is, but one thing I can say without a shadow of a doubt is that it was not driven by the subject matter of the discussion as much as it was driven by a salvo of notes, emails, and contact made by people who were ready to walk if we sat idly by.
