  • Gas prices

A while back I posted that gas prices would fall below $3 a gallon. Local station is at $2.89 for 87 today. So how's everyone doing on gas? Not that long ago it was about $3.60

Its been pretty wonky around here. 87 has been as low as 3.27, but a block down the road is 3.67.

And, we're about to get hit by "carbon" taxes.

3.349 for Diesel , 2.99 for 87 petrol. The subterfuge worked, after hovering closer to 4.00 for so long, I'm pretty happy to see it closer to 3. We're still getting raked over the coals. Check Exxon Mobil's profit column if you don't believe it.

Now that we sold the house in NJ but I still work there means I stay at mom's during the week which is about 20 miles from the George Washington Bridge. In my home town, we have the West Shore freight line. The oil trains from ND come through all hours of the day. It seems like every two hours they come through with about 50 tanker cars at a time. It's really getting all the tree huggers pissed. The trains go the refineries in the Newark area of NJ and Phili PA. They're also shipping it on tankers down the Hudson River.

It's $3.09 for 10% corn gas around here. $3.25 for pure dinosaur gas.

Between $3.21 & $3.59 depending on day of the week. That swing is down roughly thirty cents. Generally the price drops from Sunday to Thursday midday before jumping forty to sixty cents Thursday evening to Friday.

A bit over tree fiddy, it doesn't drop here, only goes up. I'm dead set on making fuel next spring, lots of work to do before I get there. So very tired of them gouging us and lying to our faces about it.
