The US trade embargo with Cuba is 50 years old and Washington shows no sign of ending it. In Havana, the BBC's Sarah Rainsford asks how Cubans have learnt to adapt.

For decades, Cubans had no choice but to keep their old cars running – to the delight of travelers who love the classics. But how much longer will they last?
I think between the years of jury-rigging to keep them on the road, the roads, the tropical heat and salt-laden air (for the most part) they will find most of the vehicles' value will be in it's story.......not in the quality of the car itself.
