Thanks! And what kind of speed? It should have been a 5 1/5 hour drive for me but it was 8. All it takes is they have one itty bitty bridge on I-40 down to one lane to hammer on it and the conga line backs up...for 2 1/2 hours. I saw on the live map it was there, but I had no idea to what extent. I hope Dan and Andy do better on their routes, they've got over twice as far to get here.

I leave Wednesday, stay over somewhere west of Atlanta (haven't booked a motel yet) and will get in Thursday. I didn't know bad weather was on the way - bummer! If it's dry when I arrive I'll take Mutt off the trailer and if not I'll do that Friday AM - I'm too old to work in the rain. Anyway, see y'all at the track.

Thank you Dan! I never took stuff to land speed before. I never worried about my stuff at road course track days because everybody there splayed out more and better stuff than I had and everybody there was either doing it or "with" somebody doing it, there were no spectators per se. I guess there's no guessing where we'll end up if they are escorting us to the pits as Steve said, I guess the whole complex must be crammed with covid casualty airplanes.

I'm traveling Wednesday so I don't have to drive in the worst of the lousy weather Thursday. That was Unit's idea, she's a genius. I'm going Wednesday because I "can." See y'all there unless I get all excited and type up some more stuff beforehand. I'll be holding the fort when y'all get there, travel well my friends.

Floor jack, impact wrench, tools, air tank, spare wheel, jack stands, a pit collection. I might as well can put Red's track pads on at land speed for exercise and fun and giggles and loud squeals. Can I pile that stuff up on your rig while we're at the track? I think I'd like that better than just throwing it down on the ground somewhere and then going back at the end of the day to see if it's still there.

EDIT: After more thought, I'll bring all the stuff and let's see what it looks like when we get there. I saw a video from Steve where he said there will be be a staging area at the gate and we'll be escorted to the pits due to the congestion from all the airplanes that are now there. I'll bring a tarp to throw over all of my stuff wherever I end up having to put it and it'll be fine.

Not trying to be a butt-in-ski.... Someone who participated should post a report about this event on landracing.com ...... At least, make a showing.

Mine's an 8. SOLD!!!!! Two day delivery. Thank you so much Andy, I'dda never thought to look for a separate remote. Wow, overnight I've gone from Fred Flintstone to George Jetson. But if Red starts sounding like George's car I'll know a rat must have climbed into the exhaust pipe and died.

It's called a Dragy; it downloads the data to the phone via Bluetooth, so the phone just has to be somewhere in the car. It also starts automatically when the vehicle moves from a standstill, so no button pushing needed.
