Latest from the SCTA... The salt is drying out. The plan now is to start racing on Monday.

Salt racing royalty paid a visit today, but wasn't allowed on the salt. However, Burt Munro's grand daughter stepped onto the mud and looked out across the soggy salt. She got a great reception from the racers who welcomed her. She is flying back to New Zealand Sunday.

The wind kept moving the water around. No racing on Monday, only 100 runs on Tuesday. Water a half inch deep in the pits.

Bukshy Steve & crew managed one run yesterday, fell short of his record run from several years back, and todays run was only a couple mph better.... Steve had wheelspeed over 200, but only trapped @ ~183.xx, and plenty of steering going on. So they're waiting until tomorrow to run again, as the salt is slowly drying, so they're hoping for some better TRACTION tomorrow
