What is the general consensus on using 'Front Runners' at B'ville ?
Any brand tire better than the rest ?

Generally speaking yes, you can run frontrunners at Bonneville.
However it really depends on a LOT of factors which brand.

How fast do you think you will go?

    How heavy is your car?

What size tire do you want to run?

There are very few people in this world who's opinion I value, you are not one of them.

      - 4,000 lbs
      - 200 if we're lucky
      - depends on what is available

I'm using the Goodyear 'frontrunners/LSR' listings as a general guide.

Are you using the front runner as a drive tire?

Yes, however by your question, I'm assuming they would not be beefy enough to be used on the driving end.

Yes you can do very well with Goodyear frontrunners. The LSR tires have been to ~300 mph on mid-weight cars (3500-4500).
The standard drag frontrunners have been well over 250 mph in many cars also. Consider running more air pressure if they only recomend 60psi.

It's a race car not the space shuttle, he probably doesn't pop out at the end of a run and chech his tire pressure.

Tire temp's don't change nor do the tires really get any wear.... think Hooked up most of the time... and when they spin...it's on wet or moist salt... not particularly abrasive.... it it's Hard and dry they simply hook up and haul ass....

( keep in mind to check the tire pressures you have to pull the disc's )...

And my craptacular dollar store tire pressure gauge only goes to 60psi. It didn't cut it =P
                          Escaped on a technicality.
