    might need a dozen!

i called tonya turk yesterday and explained that i needed a dozen or so of the record holder shirts, and that i should have known that the one i bought minutes after setting a new record was not going to be sufficient. she called me back from in the trailer and informed that she only had one xl and why so many? you can not wear a shirt every day and sleep in it every night for two weeks and not get a stain on it. oh well, i will be more careful and thanks tonya for going to the trouble of packing and mailing it. did y'll know it is 505 miles from atlanta, ga. to wilmington, ohio if a person was thinking about going to the april 2012 meet? happy thanksgiving, garrell patterson

I know what you mean, Garrell. I got another record holder shirt at the October meet for the same reason. Also why I have 3 SCTA shirts, all bought on the salt. But then I pretty much live in T-shirts - one of the joys of retirement.

dan, you sure know how to cut the legs out from under an old, cocky, rookie, three scta shirts all with salt stains on them!! did you pick up on the fact that i, or my wife, had checked the mileage to wilmington? i sure wish that there was going to be one or two events two finish out the season at talledaga, ala. race track, airport. it is one hour from my home. i suggested that as a possible site to joe earlier this year and i was told at maxton in sept. to not give up on that possibility. if i knew that it was for sure i would pack enough food and water and line up at the gate after new years. again have a happy holiday season, garrell

Don't be TOO impressed. The SCTA shirts aren't record holder shirts, just souvieners. Anyone can buy 'em. Never raced at Bonneville, just volunteered.
