Re: Tires and wheels
It would be best to attempt to get your hands on some of the Mickey Thompson Bonneville tires, but I think production of them is done for this year. Used Goodyear Bonneville tires are also around, but you'll pay a huge premium because so many people need them. Another option many people choose is to use 28-inch Goodyear Front Runners on the rear.

On a related note...I just scored a pair of 3-1/2" Super Tricks, do I have the first part of my LSR car?

Re: Tires and wheels
The hardest and funnest part of building the Car, is searching out all the required parts. If you make any brackets for the car, remember to make extra ones in case you ever need them to fix the car. And keep all of the Hardware as Common as possible, that way you always have what you need.
As for Tires, they can be a Game Stopper if you don't have the required Tires. Get the best you can afford, and an extra set to push the car around on in the garage. Measure the Run-out of all the Tires, and make matched sets for each axle.

Re: Tires and wheels
I do have a rule book and I am reading it. That's why so many questions. Thank you to everybody for helping. I did understand the 1" lug nuts and the 1/2" studs. I did not understand the wheels, thank you. I will look into tires. I was recommended to Carol Shelby Tires. If anybody has any other suggestions - I'm open.

Re: Tires and wheels
Wheels must be either manufactured for racing or reinforced by welding the attachment area as described on pg. 20, paragraph 2.
Look in your rulebook for advertisers who specialze in LSR products. Page 192, 196, 200, 236 all have people who can help with the wheel/tire issue.
When you move to the next step use the rulebook as a resource.
