  • Stolen LSR Bike

The below is from a friends Face Book Page Please keep an eye out.

    SCUMBAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone stole our Harley Evo landspeed race bike at El Mirage during the night on Saturday May 17th. It's a 96cu.in. S & S motor. Five speed trans with kicker.

PLEASE look at the pictures and post as much as you can.

We had it displayed next to the motorcycle tech trailer with a for sale sign. Dave raced this bike last season and we thought that location would be an excellent, safe place to display it. It was stolen between Saturday night sunset and sunrise this morning. (05/18/14)
This bike was custom built by Dave Iversen and is ridden in a laydown postiion with the shifter and brake at the back axle. IT IS FOR LANDSPEED RACING, not street riding but could be reconfigured for street use.

The return of this bike undamaged without facing charges is on the table for a very short time. Let us know where we can pick up our bike. Your reward for doing so will save your Acura from the landspeed family of thousands of members. It's a strong community of racers, riders and bikers, and will ALL of them will be looking for YOU

That just sucks. How could someone like that look themselves in the mirror? Hope they rot in Hell. If it shows up at The Ohio Mile we'll be looking for it.

That is one nice looking machine. When I heard the announcer ask for help in locating the bike, I was floored. On our way out we drove around the lake perimeter looking for it hoping it was abandoned after a joy ride on the lake by some drunk son of a b*tch. I work right above the lake bed and will certainly be keeping an eye out for this bike. It seems like way too much bike for a local scumbag to have stolen though.

Due to all the internet postings the bike has been found and returned. Thanks.

There are very few people in this world who's opinion I value, you are not one of them.

Awesome! Did anyone lose an appendage?
It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

GREAT news! Was the bike OK or damaged/stripped? Maybe we'll just geld the perps so they can't make more of themselves.

Don't they clear the dry lakes like they do at Bonneville at around 8 PM?

This again is from there FB page

                Good things do happen.
Everyone that took pictures of our bike and passed it on, all of the blogs that picked it up, full coverage on twitter and instagram.....worked. The pressure was enough to convince the thief/thieves who stole our bike to realize profit was not going to be made, more likely they were going to get their A** kicked if they tried. At 2 am this morning we received an anonymous call telling us where the bike could be picked up. A tow truck was sent to a location in the Victorville area and our motorcycle was in one piece with minimal damage.

                OUR MOTORCYCLE WAS RETURNED!

This would not have happened without all of your help and support.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.

                  GH

At El Mirage you are allowed to camp on the lake bed, most camp in there pits lining the race course.

What good news, not that the theft wasn't absolutely reprehensible. Ride on.
