One step forward two steps back. I had to buy a new lower hose, picked it up today. After adding a gallon and a half it really starts hit the floor, rolling out of the weap hole. That was the wp off the 89, Dan gave me the one off the volvo so I guess this time I will fill with water before I bolt the fan on.

Luckily I just put water in it so the mess was not to bad. I am going to fill it with water before put the brackets and fan back on.

Got the new wp on, and all the stuff I had to take off to get to it back on. Added the crank pulley and belt, then filled it with oil and called it a night.

Trying to think of "what's left" need to:
-install speedo gear
-Extend main vacuum line
-Wiring at starter solenoid
-replace starter (got a nicer one the other day)
-install seat
-install gauge surround and switches
-install front tires
-drive shaft safety loop
-Remove Pro-Jackstand Mod
What else am I missing? Currently does not have mufflers, most of the interior, A/C, or the radio but those are not needed this Friday at the DRAG STRIP!Last edited by Russell; August 25, 2016, 10:42 AM.

I have a new winch, and a new trailer - I have not put the two together yet - did we all decide that the "Trailer hitch winch mount" was the best solution?
Great progress. I hate leaks. I've decided the new shop will be a "no oil dry zone" the dust never goes away, simple green in the big yellow mop bucket FTW.There's always something new to learn.

Worked my way through the list. The nicer starter failed the jumper cable test, so left the one on I already had.
Dragged it out of the shop (incase it went up in flames ) when I turned the key I did not hear the fuel pump come on, I had the coil wire off so I could let the oil pump prime some. Gave it fire but no run. Pulled the wiring diagram book out and noticed it should have a interia switch, quick Google search to find its location, what do you know the PO removed it, pulled the one from the parts car and we had fuel pump! Primed the lines then turn the key to make noise!
I took video of the frist fire up I will try to up load it soon.
It makes some noise not sure if its valve train or those used header gaskets are leakingLast edited by Russell; January 4, 2017, 02:18 PM.
