I have been splitting my time between mustang and the lighting. I got the upper intake off of the lighting, and the h-pipe off the mustang it's much easier to remove when the headers are off. I turned the headers to face forward then bolted stubs of an old stock exhaust.
I am looking forward to making some ugly welds. I can't decide if I want to MIG or TIG it.

15 weeks until Drag week let's buy another project!
1993 Ford Lightning! It's got some major leaks, hopefully it's just the intake gaskets.
Nice truck! Looking forward to seeing more updates about it. Good luck!

With the shape / angles I used the trim fit, trim fit, trim fit, tack, cut, adjust, tack, trim, weld method. It's not square, it bothers me but not enough to cut it out and adjust it.

I have to decide what I am going to do with the lighting before it gets a thread. I figure I can just mix it in here. Not alot yet. Next week I hope to get the heads cleaned up and the intake back on. I need to get a new PCV and the rubber grommet that it goes I guess it needs one of those metal screens?
