Cool, in 2 weeks the new motor for my 50 Sedanette is going on the engine stand - of course, then I'll be back to focusing on the FJ40... but at least it will be closer too.

That's great... I was wondering how your project was coming along.

machine shop hell... it's taken nearly 4 years to get the machine work done on the block.

That sucks... hopefully you get that completed soon. I was really happy with the work from my machine shop, Thunder Works Engines out of Victorville CA.

Here's some pics of the bottom end of my engine.

Getting ready to see how this fits in the frame and for how the trans mount needs to be made and where to place it.

Sweet build, I love the 30's 40's and early 50's fastback design, while it may have died off in the early 50's it keeps coming back. These fastbacks are much prettier than their more conventional counterparts.

Thanks! Ya... I love the lines of the late 40's early 50's fastbacks, combine that with the teeth of the 1950 and bingo!

Had to rework the plates for the bags... wasn't happy as I noticed some flex, out with the old in with the new.

Ford 9" is in with 4-link, custom driveshaft hoop has been added that'll work with the airbag system, and first part of the frame is boxed now to start on the front end.

Not a whole lot new but wasn't happy with the plates with the 4-link so reworked it to something more durable....

Still have to shorten the 9"
