Spent some time on Bourbon Street and hung out with some good people. On Friday we checked in to the HIE next to the venue and had a proper parking lot party:
When we got out to the car Saturday morning we discovered someone had left us a gift!
This got passed around in the group all week. While putting the top down, I actually forgot it was there and drove to the local Wal-Mart with it in that spot.

We left early this year to spend some time in New Orleans being tourists:

Naturally that meant we would hit a detour to a dirt road (accident on the highway) on the first day:
Gas stop after dirt road:
There was no room in the trunk for a real cooler so we strapped one in the back seat. We also got a chance to reuse the cup holders we made for the Mustang in 2014

I was feeling pretty good about our chances this year so I installed a prior year sticker minus the year for the trip down:

This spare tire led us to buy a AAA membership. You are supposed to inflate it with the attached can of air when needed.

I thought for sure I had posted Power Tour coverage in this thread. I even have a folder of resized pics for just that purpose. Not sure if anyone cares at this point, but here goes.
Minor fixit issues were documented above and our next big challenge before leaving was packing. One thing we did to save space was to pack our tools around the spare. The space we had to work with:

We got the fan switch sorted last weekend. It turns on at about 205 at the t-stat housing. The new $50 gauge sender reads almost exactly the same as the old one - 20 degrees off where it counts.
We left for Power Tour today at about 4 pm. Logged 435 miles before calling it a night. 25.5 mpg on the first tank of gas. 775 miles scheduled for tomorrow.

No smoking here, just need to charge devices. We are good to go on that score.
Drove to work today and borrowed a laser temp gun from work and figured out that 220 on the gauge is actually 200 at the thermostat housing. 260 is 230. The fan switch that was supposed to turn on at 220 did not at 230 at the thermostat housing. Just ordered a switch that is supposed to turn on at 204. Should be here on Friday. I can still force the fan on by turning the AC on (AC does not work).
