Wow, that's weak. Did you go through the lights in second? Or did you boil them so hard that you were in third by the 60-foot and lugged it the rest of the way down the track? With 2.56s to 3.08s in the rear, I'm guessing that's the scenario.

If you are going to only drag test it or putt it in the neighborhood, I'd bypass 3.55s and go straight to 4.88s to 5.13s.

wouldn't let you lug it... simply never had any traction...

interesting side light... the fan belt turned upside down ... might be an alinement issue.. (didn't have one to start with) but the water pump is more suspect...

Once they flip.....They are JUNK. Ask me how I know :P

BTW....Don't get belts at Carquest....They apparently think rubber is worth big money. They wanted $28 dollars for a 41" belt. I went to Murrays and got 2 for $10.

big Gates belt fan... Just really looked at it... and something isn't right alinement wise... and that's a change because it was really good... so just have to sort out what's moving around...

I'm going to move this over to the project cars threads... just wanted to share the whole "first time drag racing experience" and will most likely do it again in the future... ( especially when Tonya feels comfortable doing it... )

BY the way I just posted some belt , and trailer pictures in the original Disco Thread...
