If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue

      • What amazes me is, that was only a 6 year old car at the time. Picture is from 1974, or earlier. Car had rust, underside painted white, holes in the inner fenders for headers, and was just plain beat to death already.

                      • Epoxy (like PPG DP) primer?

                        • Yes. It's a 2K high build primer. Off brand that the local jobber carries, but others have had good luck with it. I blocked out the right 1/4 tonight, and it sands well.

I've had limited luck sanding DP series primers but they're tough as nails. I thin them (color depending) w/lacquer thinner and shoot that as a sealer - works GREAT!

                            • This car is executed so well, and I look forward to every new post! I can't imagine how many hours will be spent blocking out this car.
