    I would notch it in a heartbeat except for one thing. I really want to be able to haul a loaded car trailer when I'm done. I'd also like to do that without worrying about pulling the frame apart. Thanks for the "pancake bumpstop" idea though. I just ordered a set of ultra low bump stops from Amazon for $10.54.

    As a mini trucker, I say install the notch!
    It might as well ride perfectly.

    I put some pancake bumpstops in the bolt-in notch on my Ranger, that eliminated any harshness if I catch a bump.

    My lowered dualie had pipe welded into the frame instead of a proper notch job.. Mighta been ok if 2 things.. Bigger pipe and centered over the axle.. I'm planning to do it right.

    Yep, an axle flip is good for 5 to 6 inches of drop. Nice.

    The axle to frame clearance as it sits is nearly 3 inches, so I'm not sure about the notch kit (which I have). If I can get some kind of air bag assist, I may forgo the notch.

    The U-bolts were fighting me and I didn't need them anyway so I took the cutoff wheel to them. Check out the spring bolts though!
