I just need to install heater hoses and add clamps to the upper hose then I can add coolant. This work is William approved:

Fan install - The fans are from a 97 Camaro and the shroud is from Tejas Steelworks.

The pressure side is hooked up using the original 79 hose and I just need a piece of rubber return line to finish that up. Here it is with the belt on it:

The pressure hose fitting in the back of the pump gets swapped out for the one from the 79 pump. Here is the assembly installed with the idler relocated:

Next up is the power steering pump and alternator which are conveniently mounted to a large cast aluminum bracket. I tried to bolt it on a couple of times and realized that the reason the swap guide said I need to relocate the idler is that the original position gets removed.

Next up is the water pump - This is a replacement for a 2010 Camaro that puts the hose outlets in agreeable positioning. Here it is with the lower hose installed:

Unfortunately, the grille has to come out to install it.

From there we moved on to the battery tray. The LS Swap guide recommends relocating the batter to the drivers side. Here is a repop of a factory bracket from a diesel version of the truck.

This weekends progress started with a master cylinder replacement (hoping to stop the brake fluid dripping on the Nova). Also installed the new washer fluid jug:

He put up with the noise I was making while doing it! I'll take that as approval!

After that I moved the pivot for the factory 79 shifter (about 2" forward). Looks to line up nicely and should clear the collector fine. I'll probably need to shorten the rod from the column.

Since the 79 lines fit inside the 03s, I cut them for some overlap and soldered them together. If they leak, I'll take them off and weld em.

Trans Lines - It's important to start with the right set. In my case the 79 ones were way closer:
