  • BLUE 92 ( VETTE )

Well , I've had it for three weeks . BLUE 92 is my attempt to be a checkbook hot rodder . I paid $5500of insurance money and I really don't want this to be a project .Spent the money and got 60 more horses and a manual trans (6 speed ZF ) Air Conditioning, and pretty good paint and interior ) I just want to drive it . But I just had to put pads on the back today . It went pretty easy . So fast I forgot to take any . Here's a few pics of it to freshen your mind .

Having met Blue 92 in person I gotta say it looks REAL good. The front and rear bumpers will need paint some day but nothing that would keep it from being a great driver. It's a LOT of car for the money and Dan & Bride looked mighty happy in it as they should.

      Rock On!

What , you don't like my salad shooters ! Actually I was going to pick up a good used wheel tire package off craigslist with those wheels . I kind off like them but then again they beat those old 84-88 or so wheels I had before ! Id love some " lace " Forgelines simular to PeeWee's only in raw aluminum or something with a little light gold /bronze color on the laces . It'll be a while.

That era of C4 has the nicest butt out of all the C4's. Manual trans = Dana 44. Manual trans also = the crap-tastic 89-93 'Black Tag' ZF6 trans. The 94-96 'Blue Tag' ZF's are a little better, but not much. If you plan on keeping this car then start saving some nickels now for a Billy Boudreau remanned ZF6 (see link) http://www.zfdoc.com/about_ZP.htm Bill's the ZF doctor, he (re)builds them the way the Germans (and Genital Motors) should have in the first place. I won't get into the (ridiculously expensive) dual mass flywheel yet. That's another story (which can also be fixed)...

This is Bill. Bill has many years of experience fixing fuct up ZF transmissions. Bill's a swell guy.

Other than that you got yourself a sweet ride Mr. Barlow.

I like the salad shooters, but I'd have to do something about that air conditioner vent exhaust. Rectangles have to cost .2 tenths..

/edit - oh hell, I forgot to say that's a nice looking ride. I'd spend the first bunch of money on GASOLINE!

Had it 2 days before road triping it about 1400 miles to the outer banks of North Carolina , then on down to Wilmington then swung up thru Tenn. to hit the Tail of the Dragon and then back home . That was around a 1000 bucks . Could have been done cheaper but I took the wife . And even if your wife takes a girl trip with her mom , sis , and sister in law , don't even think you can pull of a guys trip . "If mama ain't happy ...." Honestly I wanted to her to go .Except I was planning on blasting down to Key West and she wanted to go to the outer banks .

I like those wheels. You would have to pay me to change them.
