SBF C6 is not nearly as rare as many would have you believe, as many trucks/vans with 302's & 351W had them. I had an '81 F150 SWB w/302 that had a C6, and I've had a couple other C6's we pulled out of Econoline vans.........
wait, wut? you mean Ford made transmissions that bolted to some V8s but not others? but you can get 'special' ones that do? how special. buhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *snort* hahahahahahaha
Oh, you mean like GM did with different bolt patterns for BOP and Chevy?
Dan
Still interchange adaptorless, but not reccomended. I broke a BOP behind a chevy ina derby car without the adaptor, with, the adaptor can bend..
Fords are one derby and done motors.. Chevys keep ascreamin' Maybe head gaskets if it runs waterless 30 min or more..
Fords die waterless except the 292 which glows red.

however, Chevy didn't do different patterns within their own house.... not just that but there are more then a couple people who would take exception to your underlying assertion that the BOPCad motors are just another chevy motor....

Oh, BOP/Cads are DEFINITELY not Chevys - or at least they didn't used to be. I think GM screwed up when they went to a single engine which made a Caddy pretty much the same as a Chevy and the divisions lost their individuality. I suppose the business case was made for that switch but they left out passion. But given that all the transmissions came from Hydramatic I never could figure out why the divisions couldn't agree on a bellhousing bolt pattern - just as I can't figure out why Ford didn't standardize theirs.
