Another day another working on the ramp.
I had to pull the dang cluster back out. It wouldn't rev over 2500. I cleaned it out with air, checked the movement by hand and grounded the back side of the stud to the tin. Put it back in and it works!

Took the Tach back out cleaned it blowed it out with air. I also added a ground wire to the center stud off the back of the tin.

I'm working on the ramp truck and need some help.
Does anyone know of a place to buy wheel adapters for these 8 lug wheels to go to the 10 lug Semi wheels? Here is a picture of what I want.
Going to lower it a bit also.

These wheels and adapters are a lot higher than I thought. I'm going to have to save a little more before ordering them. I'm going to have as much in the wheels as I do the truck!
I got all the markers working though tonight. I fished all new wiring through to them.Click image for larger version

You could probably find some complete axles for that price.

The wheels you want to use are on, I believe, a straight axle truck.. Your Rampy is a-frames?
Might be able to use hubs via bearings? Inner size to your spindles, outer to the hub..
My 77 is no looker.. A worker.. Often have overloaded loads..
I get wanting pretty rims.. Will they fit on the ramp's wheel openings?

I don't know if somebody's making 19 and 22" diameter Alcoa's these days, or very low profile 19.5 or 22.5 tires. If not what you may be looking at is "point-five" truck wheels machined down for point-O car/SUV tires, i.e. 22.5" cut to 22" (or 19.5 to 19) with the appropriate lip style change. There's enough material to squeak by with it, I'm told. Of-course you lose truck-like weight capacity.

                  Pricey in any event.

Another choice might be the stock GM 19.5 steel wheels still with 8-on-6.5 most often seen on eighties motorhomes, painted nice and used with 75-series tires or widened to fit 70-series medium-truck tires, but you might get a larger diameter than you want.
                  ...

Well the ramp truck made it's lat trip of the season yesterday. I'm going to pull it off the road for the winter and do some upgrades. Hopefully if time, money and help all workout it will have a much better attitude next year. It may even make it to Charlotte for the first day of the power tour.

I think it needs more lights!

Got bed lights hooked up. All the lights work now.
