I hate fixing screwed up wiring. I'd rather install a whole new wiring harness kit than try to make those uglies work.

that said, even in here I can make it look like not a screwup... you see, there's a Defender 110 coming into my life quite soon - and being able to (safely) let the smoke out is a good talent to have.Last edited by SuperBuickGuy; July 8, 2020, 09:27 AM.Doing it all wrong since 1966

re: FITech ... I don't think I can edit the "Oh Shit" out of this reply so I'll just leave it here.
I hope they had a couple of diodes inside that thing that blow up instead of fragging everything in sight. I'd be surprised if they didn't have at least some reverse polarity protection in it. Have you called them yet?Flying south, with a flock of bird dogs.

yeah, bad words, I said a few and I don't think I'm done saying them... at least it didn't fry my ignition system...
an interesting aside in all of this.... getting the fan off the other, new alternator took a puller - meaning there is no way that one had come completely apart, the new one (a Napa) came off easily.Last edited by SuperBuickGuy; July 9, 2020, 07:41 AM.Doing it all wrong since 1966

oh look, glass
a glass guy taught me this - it works quite well at getting full adhesion because it makes a triangle on the rail
now glued in
looks like a black Corvette
my cheap camera hates this car....
painting a lot of misc. parts
hmmm... wires....
it was a broken one
would you look at that... brake lights... all of them
and license plate lights... because, well, legalities

these might end up as front signals
oh good grief
these are supposed to fit the C3 light bucket.
uh no
with that fail, time to fix the brakes
first trim the spacer down
tight without hanging the brakes
then finally hood pins
took way longer then it should have
but got a start on the steering column
