Sounds like the exhaust I had planned for my aborted Datsun 720. Stock split manifolds, dual 2" pipes and a hotdog. My exhaust guy had a 620 with the same setup, except his dumped behind the wheel while mine would have dumped in front of both rear wheels. Other difference was he was running twin Solex carbies, I was running the stock Mikuni(?). But I had a line on a LZ24 grunter with trick head and twin 45 DCOEs, actually I could have gotten my hands on a couple of grunter bottom ends from the same guy.
The truck sounded pretty good with the split manifolds and the muffler under the cab, and that's it. Best bit was, truck gears meant no need to down shift, it would have been revving hard 24/7.

Unity is so important these days, especially when you've got so many people in your head.

Lol, they've always been hotdogs down under.
And talking about sidepipes, down here they pretty much don't exist due to our vehicle inspection laws. So you get things like Cobra replicas with side pipes AND crappy looking mufflers poking out the back.

that would be really lame. i think i would just
leave the sidepipes off in that case and run
                    a regular dual exhaust underbody.

thats what i did on the vette. hedman 2" primaries to full undercar
exhaust in 2.5 aluminized with fromaster knock-offs.
yes, i totally want sidepeipes, but-
                    1) cant afford em
                    2) cant run em in hawaii unless they were factory option for your year
and car was originally equiped with them
                    3) RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!
i used to get off work at 4am. bad enough killing the car and rolling the last block
as is, sidepipes too? no thanks. still, i wish i could....

Unless I drive the 150 miles or so towards Lexington Kentucky I have to make do with the SR52 under pass of 465 on Indy's east side . The equivalent of 8 lanes wide . Sigh .

Dan is jealous because sidepipes look like refried Prii on a C4.

                            • SBG - You are exactlly right . Hasn't stopped me from trying to figure away AND look good . Untill then , I'll just live vicariously through you C3 guys that have them . Surely it has to be easier than putting C4 suspensions under C3s . On the big side , my daughter has a C3 and wants them . Sadly her career took a dive because she hasn't the ability to grin and bear it and keep her mouth shut .
