    • Sooo, violated curfew for Buick parts...

      1980 350

it runs, it was really cheap, I have no immediate use for it. though I do have this evil thought about bolting some turbos on it just to see what would happen.....

          • so the numbers 1241748... built from 68-80

            side shot

            number 8 looks pretty good

oil smells of carbon, but no water.... seems like a solid motor and thinking of making this old welding stand a start stand...

            • Majority use SBC in derby.. Quite a few use Olds 350's. Some Buicks.. 2nd to SBC has to be 400 Mopars.. Note no Fords..they are basically 1 and done unless you can keep water in the 460's. Wish I knew what I know now back when I drove..

you'd likely come back with a nub.... I've never had a less friendly dog... and no, I was not looking for a non-friendly dog - but that said, he's still my dog.

Key words "never had a less friendly"... I've had 4 dogs of my own (not counting my wife's slobberfests)

                          • There's a lot of bouncing between the Buick and the Corvette as both are in their body-work phase
the gas filler... the issue was GM put sealer behind the door... trapped water

the 'fix' is make this parallel with the ground (like the other side)

                            chop chop

not sure this is the piece....

did a bunch of grinding and chopping, hopefully tomorrow I can get to welding

                            • since my other project is still drying....
this right corner is going to be the death of me -

                              so split

                              clamp

weld - if anyone is watching Bitchin boot camp... this is not the 'right' way..... and if you watched last week, someone got sent home for it... alas my dream of being a Kindigee is done

                              onto the gas door

                              too tight is just right
