      • ugh, I don't like undercarriages
however, it needed a full wire-wheeling plus washing... so that's what it got....

        • back to work

          then this happened

          *ducks!!!*
in looking around, I realized I needed to remove these

because it was full of sand and debris....

          thankfully, my helper wasn't hurt

I really need to find another wagon or quarter.... I can fix it, but I think I'll do some calling around tomorrow and see if I can find something

          • OUCH!!!

I hate when that happens. I'm glad your helper is OK. My helpers are generally not not very helpful

            • they seem to be pretty good at holding the floor down.... and I don't see any elephants or tigers running around your shop - maybe you don't see them working?

              • Our helper stays in the house. He has an advanced case of carpet paws.

I hear that can lead to a terminal case of loaf pan.

                    • time to braze up the small holes

Sometimes the best fix for small, rust holes is brazing - in this case, small holes just need a patch because the underside gets bedliner and the top gets spray-on sound deadening

                      next up, more metal finishing

and repair of the rusted nuts

                            • for the record, I am NOT insane considering driving to Idaho, Montana or S.Dakota to get quarters for this car. I'm not, all the voices in my head agree. So there!
