holley can eat my used shorts.
Been bragging on Delta Cams for some years. I ran them in my 25-" Chevy sixes and had great success. They're also great folks to work with, friendly and helpful on the phone and when you call you don't get an endless phone tree.

The mail works just fine. They'll ship anywhere. (Actually I don't remember what shipping company we used, just that it worked perfectly)

Does it count that I've already built this several times (in my head) with a 426 wedge, fenderwell headers, and a cross-ram setup?

            • ok, i have FINALLY jacked it up, put it on stands, and removed the 2 front
tires in prep for removal of stock front suspension/straight axle conversion.
lets hope its just a day or two and not a week/month/year or two before
              i get on it again.

                  • trying to keep the momentum going...... yes !!
just mocked up, but i got lucky and the front
spring hanger has 2 holes to rosette weld for install--
and one happened to line up with a bumper bracket
                    hole in the frame.

im CERTAIN that the factory frame holes and speedway
machined holes in bracket are WAY more accurate
compared to my measuring, marking, and drilling.

a 3/8-16 bolt, couple hardened washers and a nut
on each side positively locates both springs pretty
much dead nuts even. yay! more to follow.......

basically--although around here we refer to them as
                        "cardboard creepers".

hey, you gotta make do with what ya got!

                        • Glad to see the progress on this beast. Can't wait to see it on its own wheels again - with solid axle!
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

                          • my neighbor donald had a manual protracter/angle finder. i had a bubble level.
between the 2. i rolled kingpin housing back 10 degrees (to compensate for
when iron head rat motor goes in...) and tacked the axle in place....

heres hoping the magical brown truck of happiness shows up with spindles &
                            kingpins tomorrow......

no, i dont know how to do that myself.
