Will eventually have a blown hemi, and hopefully go fast. Sort of like these cars.

So will it be like a early funny car that was just a lenghtened body / wheelbase or will it be that and a flip body ?..........and any thoughts on drag weeking it . Someone has run a fuel car as you probably know .

This will be an almost funny car. They were built with the steel body shell and lots of fiberglass parts, before they went to flopper bodies. I'm trying to capture that last bit of fun before things got really serious. I plan to run a blown hemi on pump gas, auto trans, Dana 60 rear, dropped tube axle, glass fenders, doors, trunk, etc. And it will be running Drag Week, but probably in unlimited unless they change the rules just a bit so it can sneak into A/Gas.

Yeah, I know Brian's Nitro coupe pretty well now. He's building a new motor for it, expect it to do better in 2018.

What's the plan for plan II? Is the goal to make drag week 2018?

I am planning to get the new car done for DW 2018. So I won't really have a use for Plan II, if all goes well.

Although, right now I have Plan II and my 59 Chevy truck, as my only two vehicles (although my wife also has 3 that I can use). So I've been driving around in a blown altered wheelbase car as half of my daily transportation. Which is fun.

Thanks for posting this up here Squirrel, it will be much easier for me to follow than trying to keep up with the build on the HAMB, there is so many post on that thread there!

Do you have to use any kind of aid to keep that large rear glass in place, just thinking it might pop
                            with any body twist ?

I plan to replace the glass with plastic, which is far more flexible than the body metal.
