The pics didn't come thru for me. This is a bummer as you always have something worth looking at!

While it has been a long time since my last update - some progress has been made. First of all, I got the 125amp sub-panel installed in the garage by a licensed electrical contractor. Then after the inspector left, I wired in 2 240/50amp welder boxes and 4 double gang 120/20 amp receptacle boxes. Still need to put in the 240/30amp circuits but until I am sure what we are going to use for A/C (PTAC or mini split) that will have to wait.
With that out of the way, I actually did a little work on the cab
Not thrilled at all with the fit on the driver's side rear cab flange. I was worried about the A pillars yet the rear flange is proving to be far more challenging!
Passenger side seems much better - but no where close enough to be happy with it.
I think it was Arron that said don't let perfection get in the way of progress - well I will call this progress but unfortunately, I am going to waste some more time making it fit better!Last edited by cstmwgn; December 28, 2019, 07:06 PM.

Ha! That's funny, because one of the lads on the slick60s forum has a signature line:
"I'm still not a good welder but I've become a good grinder" lol

Thank you for the heads up. I need all the help I can get with this sheet metal / body prep stuff.

Well - as is typical - things got in the way of much progress the last couple months.
Here is some minor updates
Caliper bracket finished (re-enforced mount area and painted)
Rolling chassis finished (well very close anyway - still some plumbing to do)
Patch panels welded in
Underside view
More patches - rear cab mounts where rusted through very badly.
Still to do
- attach the roof. Starting to lean towards gluing the rear seam and welding the A pillars
- soda blast the entire cab. I have a friend that has a soda blaster he said I could borrow. I don't trust the sandblast place to do the sheet metal with out warping stuff.
- fix all the stuff that is uncovered once the cab is fully stripped

I can't believe I missed this until today! Looks like a great project, but you set your own bar plenty high with the wagon.

Just need to weld some supporting washers to the caliper brackets and painting them.
Had a bit of a set back with the Fairlane suspension project but hopefully will get the rolling chassis done by the end of next week and get on to fixing sheet metal.
