  • Getting the 64 SS Impala ready

Been working on the Impala again getting some things done before the 2018 HRPT. Wanting to make it a little nicer for the journey. I have installed a 3 rd brake light and so far both door seals rear window felts and rubbers. I'm waiting for the other door parts to ship they where back ordered.
I made a thin ply wood barrier between the back seat and trunk and stapled jut to it for noise reduction. I plan on doing the whole floor with jut once I get a new roll of it.
The floor pan looks pretty good for a 54 year old vehicle.Click image for larger version Name:	19030247_1569403696500197_2307640649837964745_n.jpg Views:	2 Size:	131.0 KB ID:	1188094

Man putting the seat back in was a job! 2 1/2 hrs later I'm done.

Installed my seat belt holders for the 64. I didn't like any of the ones I saw on the internet so I used what I had.

All the seals are replaced except for the 2 quarter windows. I'm waiting on them to get here. Adjusting those windows is very time consuming!

I've been working on the Impala getting all the door window gaps correct and I think I have them good now. I pulled it out and rinsed it off with no water inside the car!

A little cooling work on the 64 also. I hate the original shroud on a 64 Impala, it looks like a 55 gal drum so I used a 71 C10 plastic shroud I had and man what a difference it made in the cooling system! I ran the car up to temp and had the ac on high sitting idling in the garage with outside temp @ 75* are so and the car never got over 190* and the electric fan never cut on.
Now when I cut the car off the slow speed electric fan kicked on for about 1 minute and cooled it down even more.
