  • I have had the relays for the fuel and intercooler pumps for about a week now and finally got around to installing them. I still need to get a pump so, that isnt completely done but...what can you do with out having the pump? To make sure its all there, I hooked the batter charger back up to power the car then, hit the switches.

    The intercooler pump squirts!

    • For my intercooler pump I just went down to the marine warehouse here in town (luckily it's right near the house) and bought a small general purpose pump (like a small bilge pump). It was cheap and works great. Looks like you're on the right path.

      • Why a radio? Because street car! Hopefully, I can find a cheap radio with USB because in these parts, the only radio stations are country and christian radio.

The dash and radio are just sitting in there since, I still have a bit of wiring to do and clean up before putting the dash in for good.

Also, don't we all dream about having RvW money to fund the our slow car lives?

          • I can't wait for this weekend, when I can get all of this stuff actually installed and not just sitting roughly in place.

I have thought about making the factory shifter work with the TH400.

                  • Wired the radio in tonight and was able to get some Random Soul to play through the speakers. This weekend I'll clean up the wiring for the radio, tackle the turn signal and high/low beam switch to round out the wiring of the car. Then, the dash can go in for hopefully the last time.

                    • Made a mount for the Racepak today. I am not 100% sold on it yet either. I am debating on making the wing a little bigger to hold the sun roof switch, getting rid of the wing all together or, making it a one piece deal that I can use as a mold to a carbon version.

                          • I guess I should update this some what.

So, there's a lot that has been missed. I'll gloss over all that stuff and say. New rear end, who this?

It should sit lower, fit a larger wheel and be strong enough to not break.

The trans goes to Capizzi Friday, turbo kit gets built probably this month early next month and I'll start the in work when it gets back.

Trans is back from Capazzi, Motor is in the car again, TIG should be here today allowing me to make the turbo kit and, the Holley has been order from RaceStatus Garage. I also got a call from a friend saying he is scrapping his car and if I want it, come get it. luckily, I do not have a trailer but the car was super clean so...*tear* I did grab some hard to find parts off of it and the trust free fenders. Here is a picture of how it sits currently.

                            • So, the Holley ECU and bits I ordered through RaceStatus Garage showed up today. Perhaps Ill lay it all out and get a rough mounting and wire path figured out. I do want to spend more time with the TIG and try to sort that process out.

Just a guy in a garage trying to build cool stuff while showing you how as well. IG: Racestatus

                              • Decided to get started on being ready to make the turbo kit. I haven't gotten the TIG down very well but, so far even though my welds are ugly, they seem to hold.

I can already tell that I will need to move the radiator bungs to the opposite sides, to make room for the cross over and to make it cleaner over all.

The next step is to get a balancer and crank pulley along with some MLS manifold gaskets. Until then, its practice welding to get ready for the day the turbo kit starts to come together.
