1967 Jeepster Commando - The Kaiser Commando C-101

Please, please, please keep us posted on this process.

I have been eyeballing this kit for both the Fury and the D100 but have been hesitant to buy it. Neither will have anything more than the standard items. no super sound systems, subwoofers, glowing LED lights or the like. I just want the basics and this seems to be exactly what I want. I also looked at a company called Bare Bones but I think I have a little more faith in the Speedway parts simply due to reputation.

Will do Joe. I know of a couple of other vehicles around here that could benefit from a new harness, so the Commando will be a test subject.

Sourcing switches. New Ignition Switch from Napa $24 - matches original perfectly. Original was bypassed and had a melted plug on the harness so something bad nearly happened.





Mounting looks simple enough. Push and twist.




New switch just happens to match up to the Speedway harness directions perfectly. Nice.

Placing 15'x36' of cement tomorrow morning.

Jeepster needed to move to make room for mixer truck to get in. Fired right up after sitting for over a month and trans still felt good.

Turns out Commando's are nearly the same size as Beetles. Utilizing the new floor.
