  • RAPID FIRE redo...

The only parts that exist from the original RAPID FIRE are the heart and soul of the car, and a few misc. mounting brackets. Major salt corrosion ended the life of that frame after inspection following Speedweek 2017. So here are a few pictures of the old set up not seen before and some of the new build.

neat-o. the side shots had me thinking it was a V8 in that tiny body...

I can remeber a rag from back in the early 80's, Car Craft or maybe HRM....featured 4 or 5 little motors, 4 cyl and V6's that were hopped up with blowers and all sorts of speed parts from the era....I never see anything like that around here and thought it would be cool to build something with a roots blown 4 popper.
If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue

Love it! Any details and/or pictures of the transaxle?
Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

Come to a LSR meet. You'll see any strange combo of parts you can dream up - that's what we DO!

No transaxle is this little beast, it wouldn't hold up. Power glide with a quick change.

Driveshaft must be very short unless direct powerglide to quick change coupling?

Trans is coupled direct to QC. Yes on second question, 4/71 Hampton blower. 200ci making approx. 600HP on methanol. More pictures soon, going back to Mansonhauser skunk werks soon.
