Follow the trend LS! Or will it get an old BOP engine?

Actually, I am fully expecting to see a VW motor transplanted in it.

Interesting factoid - the diesel versions of these used a Volkswagen sourced engine, which did not have a good reputation for reliability by the way. The diesels DID get larger brakes though.

Is that a set of handlebars with some brackets welded on?

I had an idea.. Turbo Buick V6 in Volvo, Chebby V8 in the neused Regal..?

Spent the evening hopping from one son to the other. Wes and I took advantage of the dryness of the last 12 hours to pull the donor van to high ground, he pulled the seats/doghouse and took the leafblower to the mouse/squirrel/groundhog mess under hood. After getting it cleaned pretty well he jacked it up and set it on jack stands, and pulled the fuel line off the fuel pump. Finished off by tossing a battery in and remembering why it got parked.......lots of flexplate teeth are mia.

We also diagnosed the Volvo as indeed having a bad head gasket. Filled it up and watched the coolant level dance to the strokes of the engine. Wes was impressed. We drained the block and let it run enough to dry the cylinders out too.

Maybe someone can use this engine/trans, won’t hurt to list it to the Volvo guys and see. It does run nice otherwise.

D&D makes a bellhousing to get you from the Buick/Rover to a regular ol' American manual.

Harvesting education is moving right along. Found a wallpaper paste hand pump/sprayer at Goodwill for $2.50 - works awesome to get the SuperClean right where you want it.

For the effort expended, this stuff is hard to beat. Squirt/soak/spray off - done.
