      This one's planned to run in the 2500-5000 RPM range. Nothing too crazy.

        5000 is pretty crazy for that crankshaft

              Doug Dutra's book on slant sixes covers a couple useful block modifications. I probably should have done these before taking the block to the machine shop, but better late than never. First up: This ridge by the water pump pocket. Doesn't look too good for coolant flow.

                when I got my 455 back from the machine shop (and a lot of money later) they hadn't done the 'normal' Buick fixes..... one of which could ruin the block if done wrong...
                Doing it all wrong since 1966
