I was under the impression that I had a couple of weeks of bodywork with the guy who did the Mustang (and flaked on me in 2023). I called to confirm that on the way to the blaster and got the "I've been meaning to call you". Turns out he needed to push me a week as he was backed up. I figured that wasn't too big a deal at the time. Delivery with an assist from my friend Dan:

Called my guy to see if we were on for drop off the next weekend (a week late) and got "we'll see how the week goes". Now I'm pissed and a in a bit of a panic with all the bare steel in the shop. I called my neighbor a couple of doors down to see if he can help or knows someone as I now have zero faith in the other guy. The neighbor is a great guy who just opened his own shop and the last thing he needs is to try to squeeze my stuff in. But he's a great guy who can't sit by and watch my project rusting so he agreed to help me out of my jam. We came up with a plan where I would prep everything and he would come over to my place to shoot it. First up garage reconfig:

Then I have to wash the areas that were soda blasted to neutralize the residue. Yes, I actually took a garden hose to it. Very nerve racking.

Next up was to grind out any remaining filler and DA everything. We also used scuff pads where needed:

Installed a dryer as the DA was spitting a lot of water:

Sprayed for almost 3 hours straight. 2 gallons of product!

Now that we can breathe, it was time to reconfigure the shop. It was interesting moving the lift with the frame on it.

Chris - it looks like you pulled the string on Annie! You are making progress and she will be a very cool cruiser when you get done.
How is William doing - I didn't notice him hanging out in any of the pictures.

Sure hope so.

We are certainly more than all in on the car at this point! William is doing well. He's not a fan of the loud parts of car restoration se we need to be selective about his participation.

We are planning to make the Dakota trip at this point. We did the NERR last year and will enjoy something closer.
