Nice project, the Chrome bill will make the engine parts bill look small.

Made some good progress over the last couple of weeks. Got the doors and deck lid off and tucked away.

Here is where I thought I had the body well supported so we could drop the frame away. Who else sees the problem? Teresa saw it right away but "figured" I knew what I was doing.

I had it in my head that lifting the whole car up and lowering the frame away from the body would be the way to go. That probably made it harder that it needed to be. I should have started out with the car on the floor and lifted the body. Live and learn. I only have one progress shot as I was pretty stressed out with how not smooth it was going. This front beam placement had issues due to the condition of the floor and rockers as well as the height needed to clear the rear frame arch.

I SO love this project! If we lived closer I'd come and lend a hand. My advise given that I'm in the middle of a similar project - make a rotisserie! Or borrow one or get one however you can. I really can't imagine doing the B any other way.
I've forgotten where you live but I have a buddy in MI (Detroit area) with a rotisserie that is rarely used and probably could be borrowed/rented/bought if that might work for you. Let me know if you want contact info.Last edited by DanStokes; November 22, 2022, 12:18 PM.
