Frame deconstruction. These springs were under a lot of pressure. I used the threaded rod in place of the shock to slowly release the tension.
Had to chip away a fair amount of gunk just to get at some of the fasteners. The lower bolt in this pic is also the steering stop:
Before and after gunk removal
Everything came apart pretty well except the lower shock mount bolts. 3 out of 4 snapped off.

Unfortunately, it's getting too cold here for my sandblaster so we have to tuck the frame away while we wait for warmer weather:
Strange having the frame out of the shop.

We also dropped off the transmission for rebuilding last week and the front end kit showed up. We also had to take the block to another shop as my usual guy did not have the correct adapters/fixtures to mount the block to his machine which probably adds another 6 weeks to that timeline.

We dropped off the frame and assorted parts for blasting and paint last week. Hope to see stuff back in a week or so.

Also picked up the cylinder heads and rocker shafts:
We scored some leaf spring hardware off Facebook marketplace. We should be able to get a usable set combining these and Annie's original stuff:

Over Christmas weekend we removed the front and rear glass as well as all the stainless trim. This was an interesting process, but it went well with minimal carnage. Rear glass
