I love FedEx , my order from Summit was scheduled for delivery on Monday but they delivered it two days early on a Saturday none the less. So it was out with the old and in with the new.

        • I found a pair of 15 x 9 Weld Prostars with a 5.5 backspacing on Marketplace at a great price. These will work great at fitting as wide a tire as possible inside the rear fenders. Now to find a pair for up front.

            • Well I found a pair for up front ... at Summit . I'm so impatient , I pulled the trigger because they were on sale. Considering what used wheels are going for now I think they were a good deal. That's it Mike , say it enough times and you'll start to believe it ... One of the reasons that I went with these is because they're period correct for this 88 and I like the look. I had Draglites on my 88 Mustang .

                • I can’t believe that I actually used the term “period correct” , let’s just say that they suit the truck …

                        • Now I have to decide which tires to purchase . Not many choices for the front, either a 165/80R 15 radial or a MT . I’m being practical here and leaning towards the 165 but the choice for the rear is in the air . Any thoughts gentlemen? . Remember that this thing is a toy for the street.

                          • Back when I had one, a 235 60 15 looked good on it - period correct, maybe a 245 45 17 for the late 90's, but these days I'd go 275-60-17 because 15's now look weird to me. I like sidewall on the street - some of our interstate highways are not suitable for driving cattle on. More like goat trails.

                            • I can't remember the size but I put drag radials on Mutt and they fit well and worked with the MB Diesel. They also looked perfect. The size is, no doubt, in my build thread (Mutt the Race Truck).

Nitto 275/60R15 Stock later model rims.
