  • I have learned to take pictures with a little extra background. Then "Crop" them to a size you like,
hit save, and then from your "Pictures File" use the "Cropped" pictures for your post.
It's extra work, but the other is to "Dumb" your phones pixel count which makes poor actual prints later if you want them

    • The image limitations here can be a pain sometimes. I post my build stuff on sites other than BS, mainly as a backup, and they all handle images better than BS. Usually I post to the others first, then save the image from the post and use it when I post on BS.

Other options are using an online resizer or hosting on a 3rd party site like http://servimg.com/

One site I post on has the servimg link imbedded and it works well.

        • I've resorted to emailing them to myself and clicking the reduce image size button. It actually works pretty well.

So I cut off a coil and a quarter. Maybe a bit too much … $80 Moog replacements ordered from Rockauto. They may end up on the shelf.

              • I have an app on my phone "Photo & Pictures Resizer". It works but adds more steps.

I would post more pictures if I didn't have to go through the effort or resizing pictures before posting. I know it's possible there are other forums that allow me to post pictures without resizing. You would think the forum could resize them automatically.

                      • Since I’m retired now and I have a “little” bit more time on my hands I thought I’d spend some of that time at our local track Mission Motorsports Park. Great track and great location sitting a sea level on the banks of the Fraser River. Warren Johnson and Ritchie Stevens used to test there the week before the Northwest Nationals at Seattle International Raceway. Anyhow Mission has a test and tune Friday mornings and that sounds like a great time to me. It’s been many many years since I ran my Fox body there. With that in mind I had to make some changes to pass tech . I had to swap out the fuel line and add a power cut out switch to the back of the truck since the battery is under the bed , Before I do anything I research the hell out of it probably more than I really need to. I didn’t want an ugly t handle sticking out the back so I came up with a much cleaner alternative …

ID:	1362855 Here’s your proof ! lol . Two contacts, one for the alternator and one for the battery. I also have two cut offs , one next to the shifter and one obviously at the rear .

                            • I have a sickness … I can’t leave things as they are. When I was LSing the S10 , I obviously needed to upgrade the transmission. So I found a TH400 that was in great shape and of course I tore it apart. Everything looked great so installed a Transgo shift kit and upgraded a few other bits and pieces. Once I got the truck on the road everything was good .., except for a little whirling sound when the trans was in park or drive. Once the transmission was warmed up it quieted down a little, it wasn’t a loud sound but I knew it was there. The transmission reformed great except for this sound.

I thought to myself that this would be a great job for over the winter, pull it and check it out. Well , one day while I was on Marketplace I stumbled upon a deal on another TH400 . Another plan went into action, buy it , buy a trans brake and assorted other parts and have fun. Which is exactly what I did. I need my usual research to find the best parts to fit my needs. By research I mean many many hours on my phone searching and searching. I bought a transbrake from CK Performance in New York State . A great kit to install and great service.

That project is done and installed and I’m happy to say no funny sounds. So this brings me up to today, I’ve got the first trans in pieces and things look good. Of course I’m upgrading a few things. A bushing kit for a TH400 consists of 10 pieces but the kit that FTI transmissions sells and markets as a “complete “ bushing kit only has 6. To be far their website and the Summit Racing ad shows only 6 pieces. I bought it from Summit and a few other parts anyway. Parts arrived today and sure enough only 6 , I contacted FTI and questioned them why only 6 and why advertise it as a “complete “ kit and was told that they are the most common bushings to wear out and also that their price reflects that it’s not a complete kit. Global Transmission Parts sells a complete kit (10) for the same price. Now I wait for parts to arrive..,
