We have windshield! The new tires are also much more gooder!
Next Friday it goes in for exhaust, then we will indeed see if this drivetrain is going to stay,
I just need to find the energy to sand and buff this thing...DAN?!? Free pizza!!!
I'm heading to Indiana for the Duck Tail Run/swap meet,
The James Dean show is only a few miles away the same week. Lots of cars every year
Anyone else going to be around?

Yes, new tires ARE more gooderer!
As far as cutting and buffing: I have a soft pad attachment for my DA that holds hook-and-loop ultra fine paper (say, 1500 and finer) and makes a HUGE time difference in the sanding process. With all the flat panels on that truck it would be a huge help. Do yourself a favor and score one! I also tape all seams before starting and that saves a lot of cut-thrus. But you can't tempt me with pizza - I've been off cheese since my heart attack more than 2 decades ago. But seriously, I wish I lived closer as I'd happily help.
EDIT: Another advantage to the DA pad attachment - it stays flat as you're working the panel so it's kind of one more chance to make the panels a little flatter.Last edited by DanStokes; September 12, 2024, 09:08 AM.

Not bad for cheap, used marketplace wheels, the tires were much more expensive than the wheels.
Wait-What...Are you saying my panels aren't straight?!? There are surely a few places that should be better
Funny you should mention the soft pad.
I just bought one and 3 grits of trizact, it's waiting for me.
I have a couple of runs to address first, then game on. It might have to wait until after the move.Last edited by DirtyWhiteBoy; September 12, 2024, 03:16 PM.A.K.A. Brian

Wifey took a job in Lexington KY, so adios VA.
The bulk of my garbage here will go back to our place in TN.
We are shopping townhomes and small houses near her work in KY.
A new shop is in planning stages for TN.
I'm getting to old for this s***.Last edited by DirtyWhiteBoy; September 13, 2024, 03:25 PM.A.K.A. Brian

with all of that said, I really do see this landing as our long term home. We were in Woodinville for 13 years, so another 13 and we're both well into retirement - and this home we're building there will accommodate that.
That said, I did look today and we need some questions answered.... we might offer on it with a longer closing and contingency because of it....Doing it all wrong since 1966

Big Booty Judy gave the 'ol (partially wet sanded) C10 a ride to the muffler shop on Friday morning.
I didn't get the all finished call until 330.
As I feared, it's missing on a cylinder on the right side. Ironically, it's a lot easier to hear it with exhaust on
No time to look at why yet, my laptop with the tuning program wouldn't turn on, and I needed to finish packing for the Indiana trip.
Hmmmm, I guess I'll find out if it's spark or fuel next week.
