The exterior size to interior size ratio is a bit wonky.

The number of bent pushrods lying on the intake *may* be an indicator of poor internal condition.

I love it. My buddy had a ‘68 when we were in high school, looks like the same color too. It was his grandmothers car, he got it, threw on a set of Big-n-Little reversed chrome wheels with a bit of a hike in the back and a very small drop in front.

It was one of the best looking cars around. Very subtle yet no nonsense. He still had it a few years ago...still looking good.

Currently, the plan is a basic 460 build using a lot of stuff I have lying around. Stock D3 heads, stock iron 4bbl intake, 650 Holley, the HEI distributor I used to use in the 83GT, Ford Motorsport valve covers. Judd will pick a cam, and some Silvolite 3191 hyper pistons to bump compression and set of headers. Should make for a decently torquey engine.

Trans will be a C6 I have that will get a shift kit and a higher stall converter. Rear gears will be something in the high 3.xx or low 4.xx range. I think with the higher stall converter, lower gears and torquey engine, this thing will be a blast.

The goal is to make it run and drive, then go about improving what needs to be improved.

Thankfully Judd is a Roadkill Garage fan so he has no aspirations of building a show car, but he does want it to run and drive without spending a ton of money or have the car in a million pieces for an extended period of time.

He is a senior this year and like his older brother, he wants to attend either the Air Force Academy (first choice) or the Naval Academy, so if either come to fruition, his time at home will be very limited. I feel like he has a really good shot at either. He's a ridiculously smart, well rounded guy, 14th in a class of 500+.

Judd is going to dive in this afternoon and start cleaning the interior out. We looked at it a little closer the other day and didn't see any evidence of mice, so that is a good sign.

I really like this car! I am conflicted though, I see guys with gutted out cars running great times with stockish engines, but I really like roomy cushy land yachts that are comfy with good cargo capacity. I can't decide which I want more.

Well the wind was gusting to 60+mph today so Judd and two of his buddies set about taking the 460 apart. The got it all disassembled and made a significant mess but were having a great time. Haha.

so stick a 557" dinosaur stroker kit in that 460 block,
and have BOTH! pretty sure its under $2500 at
summit. just saying...

Good news is that the Galaxie has a real 9" as opposed to the somewhat oddball 9-3/8" that came in some full size cars. The not so good news though, is that it is a 2.75 ratio.
