    it's not huge
don't remember brand.... pretty sure they're all made by the same people
I hate to beat a dead horse and ask probing questions BUT
Cost - was it around 1K or 10K? I see a lot of Vevor and other cheapies for somewhere between $700 - $1200 and then Eastwood has some in the $9000 - $12000 range.

      • some days I wonder why bother...
to remind, I bought a new worm gear for my rear window

then took it apart again - note how the motor is low?

        it hits the window...

        eventually got it back together

then figured I'd do something easy like aim the headlights... easy

then, since it couldn't get worse, I simply went back to the window I was avoiding from before. for unknown reasons it slides back and out of the front track while going up and down.

the other side works fine so the assembly is right but this side doesn't want to stay where it needs. I may get clever with a hammer tomorrow...

        • started a fire in the shop before I left for work this morning so I could paint tonight....
start with the top by putting adhesion promoter on

          then clean

Not sure I'm a fan of SEM liner

and I get it, anyone else looking would think it's great.... and it is, but I wanted more texture

          not bad

also needed to fix this - it keeps the door latch from working if the window is up

          test fit

          now with epoxy

now another cherry section in the fire and it should stay warm enough to touch tomorrow. I was taking paper off (as recommended, but making a huge mess - I'll use a razor blade to separate the seal and tape from the bedliner

          • but wait, there's more
love it when I can find 1 of 4 bolts I need

            epoxy epoxied

seat belts arrived and are rewebbed

            then some assembly is required

so there's a rubber seal, it needs to be pulled over the edge

or sealed with great stuff (when the rubber tears)

need to apply heat and it'll seal

in other news, rear bumper is now painted and assembled

now comes the most annoying part.... the waiting for parts... missing one clip

            • Need to get the last pieces to the upholstery shop .... so cutting is happening now

then put the roof on, might even bolt it down this time

              • for those wondering who inspires me.... the funny part of this - he went from a Iveco (or similar) truck with a box to a Renault 4L .... I just didn't go quite as extreme either way - I have a 26 foot class A motorhome, then Suburban, now Blazer.... but still....

                • since I was finishing exhaust on my dually, I figured I'd finish the blazer's
                  test

                  and fitted

then moved stuff around and did bunch of rewiring (with more to come)... as that isn't really picture worthy....
tomorrow's task... need to get some diamond plate

                  • today's purchase. diamond plate

first, take the 18 ga plates that were on it originally and make them into templates

then cut them out - was fighting the plasma tonight so it got the death wheel treatment

                    then tack in place

then weld tabs on the brush bar

drill holes in the plate for wires

                    fully drill out the holes...

                    then tack in place

                    side view

I'll full weld it off the truck... and this should answer the question from before about these bumpers not being very strong.... the 1/8" plate plus plating the underside should make this pretty stout without needing to add overloads.

also will cut holes for driving lights in the bumper

                            • a highly exciting activity - to wit - watching paint dry was accomplished tonight

also pulled the bumper off and started assembling/welding it

                              installed tow loops

                              welded them in

then finished welding the front seam. I'll grind this to blend it

once that's done, paint and reinstall

                              • I have a weird mind I know, but every time the subject of diamond plate comes up I hear Seals and Crofts singing "Diamond Plate, sure do shine.....".
