hotwheels sized cars over the years.. (think my record was $88 for a
single funnycar at one point....hey, i never said i wasnt a moron...)

still, cheaper than working on the real ones !

but if you have huge out buildings, why spend money on little things?

            • didn't get much of my stuff done today, got to fix the infamous Jeep JK oil cooler leak.... I don't like Jeeps but it also has 175,000 miles on it - which is pretty good for what it is.... but still, another day stolen by Jeep

I did get my intake hat....

              • more assembly
if anyone is interested in the difference between a 6.5 with PCM and a 6.5 without (the same as 6.2s)

                getting closer

and a bit of an annoyance.... the new glow plug had messed up threads... thankfully I didn't force it, but ran my thread cleaner to test the head, then tested this .... it jammed...

ah well.... still a ways to go, and this isn't the fun stuff, I need to finish the assembly then get to installing the turbo

                • oil cooler adapters... the 6.5 is bigger...

I would love to know how they managed this - it's a rear, driver's seat captive nut....

and while we're at learnin' who thought that fence-wiring down the driver's seat was a good idea

time to find out what lies beneath

                  not bad

Captain, look away.... it's terrible, terrible rust

I know, terrible (not really).. this is actually a very common problem with this generation of K5 Blazers

but still, if you're on the east coast, this is what floors look like

Clean up the Rusty Spots, ...... Fiberglass Resin with several layers of Fiberglass Mesh mopped in more Fiberglass Resin.
Be sure to Sand Off the Paint in repair area, the resin does not bind well to painted surfaces over time.

We started a war with England in 1776 to keep them from sending their rusty cars here.... and here you go arguing with the founding fathers. Sorry buddy, but you've earned those flakes...

Is THAT what that was all about? Flakes I can deal with - it's the missing panels that take work.

Pretty sure, I guess the Brits had a car named "a Tea" - they were such junk that the colonists threw them into the harbor - where they dissolved. The Brits were so mad at being outed for the junk they built that they started a war. Eventually peace was achieved by the US donating an all-aluminum V8 to the Brits for use in their cars. The Brits loved the motor because it paid homage to their water-soluble cars by having water soluble head gaskets.
