I learned a funny thing about fuel injectors and rails today....
If the injector isn't actually *in* the fuel rail, it will gush fuel out. Haha.
#4 is hard to see and I literally didn't have it up in the rail. It was inboard of the rail.
Facepalm. I feex.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

Next little troubleshoot is to figure out why the electric fan is on when the key is turned on.
I checked it several different ways yesterday. MS plugged in, MS unplugged, CCRM connected, CCRM disconnected.
It ran every way except when the CCRM was completely disconnected, which stands to reason because fan power comes thru the CCRM.
So, somewhere, somehow in the car, I think pin 17 on the CCRM is grounded. (tested 2 CCRM's and both do the same thing)

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!
I made a new base tune today, uploaded it, and it cranked right up. The first start in the video is literally the first start on the Microsquirt. I am very happy with the plug-n-play kit I bought from EFI Source. It made the efi end of this project a snap.
The electric fan is not operating like I want, but I'll get it worked out.
No runs, no drips, no errors!!

A monkeyed around with the electric fan settings a lot today. To make the fan work right the Microsquirt has to ground one pin all the time to turn the low speed fan mode off and ground another pin to turn the high speed fan mode on.
I never could get it to ground the low speed wire so the low speed circuit never would turn off. I tested it nine ways from Tuesday and never could figure it out.
I could however ground that circuit manually and then the high speed circuit would come on properly like it's supposed to, so that's the way I'm probably going to leave it. The Ford way just seems too complicated.
Also I'm not 100% sure the fan is It's running on high because there wasn't a difference when the high side was energized or the low side was energized. The fan ran the same speed so I don't know if that was actually high or if that was actually low. The fan may be jacked up I don't know.

Finished up the wideband install today and calibrated it in the Microsquirt. Gauge and MS show the same numbers. . It's a little rich, currently idling at 12:1, but it starts right up and idles perfectly.
I also did a bunch of little wiring stuff, like grounding the low speed fan pin and extending the oil pressure sender wire to reach the new sender location.
Best thing I did was put together a 3 shelf cart I got at HFT today. It's my bolt bin holder! Now I can just bring the bolts to the project!

Today I pulled the rest of the exhaust off and fiddled with the tune and a few other things.
Looks like I may need to change the bottom half of the down pipe a little. It may be hanging a little too low. The pipe needs to be a little more parallel with the floor pan, so I may add about 6" to it to move the dump section back, away from the trans cross member.
Otherwise, I am super happy with how it has all come together.

Tried to make a video today and just kept having problems. Forgot to turn on the mic, bandsaw blade broke and then I ran out of welding wire. I'll get my act together tomorrow.
I was modifying the bottom half of the downpipe for more ground clearance.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.
