      very nicely done!

did you use polyester resin with that matte - or epoxy resin?

the compound curve looks fabulous - and preserving the factory lip is absolutely brilliant!
There's always something new to learn.

Tucked a 295 under there and it looked like it will fit.

I used polyester, I find it a lot easier to work with than epoxy, but my only experience with epoxy was quite a while back.

Damn, I'd been waiting a long time to see that, and it turned out sweet! That is really clean.
              Escaped on a technicality.

Nice and subtle. Using the factory lip sure makes the mod look factory.

That's awesome. I really do appreciate all the tech details. I like the vinyl tape trick, how easily does the mold come off?

Truely great work. Since I've only repaired a pair of fiberglass cased glasspacks on a Mastercraft ski boat so a weekend wouldn't have ended after we burnt wholes in the cases when the impeller wasn't shooting water thru them to keep them cool, It's good to know how its done when it HAS to look good and last more than 2 days !

The polyester resin wont stick at all to the vinyl tape, and it all just came out easy as can be, leaving a clean 'glass surface.

Since I just saw dulcich appear on his "Death to Muppet avatars" thread, I'm hoping for some flared 'Vette updates. ;D
