Here's the spot where it all happened. The tree he missed had been cut down by the time this picture was taken. It was on the lawn over there beyond the driveway about in line with the front of the hood of the car. I totally forgot about that birch tree. The spot where he went thru and over the edge is just out of the picture to the right, probably about the same distance to the right as the length of the car, for scale.

Yes, he was one lucky person that day

            Checking In......
The Family Christmas went well, but was cut a little short as Freezing Rain was coming late afternoon.
            Everyone made it home safely.

Another House Project to finish before Shop Time.
Have to finish a Cold Air Return Pelnum
Modification for the New Furnace I put in last February.
My brother is coming up to help,
And keep me from Bleeding Out from all the sheet metal gouges.......LOL

GOOD NEWS.....all the parts are finally here to finish the Whizzer Bike.

              Project Update ::::.....
The solution for the pedals arrived a week ago.
So today after Plowing out for 2 hours, I put the Pedal Extenders on, and then the pedals.
Looks Good for a Engine Break Down back up plan!!

Next was to put the Engine Drive Chain Guard on. The coaster brake, (that thingy that gave the modern bicycle the name - Safety Bikes) attachment screw was replaced with a longer one, for the rear, and in the Coffee Can NOS Parts supply, found a rubber coated clamp to attach the front to the Down Tube.

I found a bracket for the muffler, but just as I was getting ready to finish putting it on.....
              Buddy calls!!
His sled crapped out on the trail near my place.
Took my tractor to go pull him to the first road crossing. Then we went and got his truck and trailer to get it home. I'm thinking Old Gas and possibly a little H2O in the system.....

Heat wave here! The last couple of days it's been in the high teens to lower 20s. But then today, 12 or so. Wish we used the Celsius scale, and those numbers were the same...

You guys could always move! We had a cold snap with highs in the 40's but today will be 50+ and mid-60s for later in the week. And nothing to shovel. True, we do get a bit of wind from time to time but nothing bad since we've lived here.

I have wonderful early memories of model railroading. My Dad had a friend with a basement full of his setup. He later moved to Florida and I wonder how or if he moved it.

                              Old Problem,
                              New Project........

On the Grand Cherokee, the intermittent wipers are erratic, and won't park in any selection.

Per Interwebs sites, this is caused by the Body Control Module. So went and got one from a Pick A Part Yard. Check it out prior to removal. The replacement is on the Left.
You can just swap the Module that is attached to the back of the fuse box.
We decided to swap the entire unit just in case it is something in the rest of the assembly.

This is Not As Bad as it LOOKS to do.
Yes you have to take all the Plastic Dash Parts off the Entire Bottom of the Driver's Side.
A little tight to get all the plugs out and 3 are 10mm socket size bolts fastened.

While this is All Apart, .....with Krraapp Weather for the next few days and nowhere to need to go go.....going to install a Switch and Wiring for a Light Bar/Wind Deflector on the Roof in front of the Luggage Rack. Also run a Keyed Fused lead, and Coaxial Wire for a CB radio.

                                Well, did a test.....
Still the same problem. With some difficulty, traced the signal to the Wiper Motor. And the wiper motor is Acting Confused. For $47.95
I can get a NEW Wiper Motor. Hopefully this corrects this.

Also ordered some "Fuse Box Taps" for the Light bar and CB power sources.

While waiting for these parts, will route the LONG Wires, to the roof and the coaxial to the rear. Hoping to be able to sneak these under the inside panels by pushing under where the carpet meets.
And start the Fab for the Roof Mount "Sasquatch Lights" bracket.
