I HATE Electrical Problems!!
And I Hate Throwing Parts into a Problem!!
The Control Module was about $35.00,
And with freight, the wiper motor is $58.00.
This is cutting into my Beer Budget !!
Lucky, a the New Year (and budget) is only a few days away......Last edited by Captain; December 28, 2024, 07:35 AM.Comment

Well,
While waiting for Wiper parts, dug through the repurposed Iron pile to make a Wind Deflector for the Cargo Rack on the Grand Cherokee.
As mentioned before, the roof cargo rack
catches so much air going through all
the tubing, it sounds like a Jet is right behind you.
Here is what we are starting with. Marked and cutting up some Farmall hood pieces.
Then fitting to the cross flat stock piece. Drilled holes for the end bolts and 4 Road Lights that are going on.
It worked out. Had to cut two pieces as the scrap Stock Sheet was not going to be long enough. It was going to need a Stiffening Brace in the center anyway. Use a piece of angle Iron.
Clamped it all together, started welding.....
And ran out of wire !!! Swapped in a new spool, but I only have 3 of .035, was using .030 .
It wasn't to bad to reset the feed on a couple of cut off pieces for the thicker wire, and with my Shitty welding you Can't Tell the Difference anyway!!

In our paint booth (West stall with junk poly tarp,
and two B&D Work Masters) With Rattle Can Rust-Oleum,
Painted 3 coats of flat black over 2 coats of Rusty Iron Primer.
Let it dry overnight and started this afternoon on installing the Sasquatch Lights.
And it's Done.
Had a little problem with getting it to light up.
The Roof Tracks and Cross Bars are Not Grounded to the Jeep !! So I had to run a Dedicated Ground Wire, and presto lights everywhere!!

Well, you’re in Norwegian batchelor farmer territory. Could be something from A Prairie Home Companion episode. Or being that Canada, ay, is so close Red Green…
Something like duct tape to the rescue…

Yesterday was replacing the wiper motor that came Thursday from Rock Auto.
Caught another New Buster Brown Sub Driver with my No Trespassing Sign......
He carried it in all the way from the end of the driveway.
Replacement was not actually that bad.
The wiper arms were stubborn to get off,
But "We Have The Technology and Tools"
to over come these obstacles!!
And of course, getting my Beer Goiter on top of the engine to remove all the bolts, plastic fresh air screen, and a bushel of leaves out.
Only had one modification to do.
The replacement motor is a bit longer than the original, and the plastic cover had to be trimmed to fit.
Test ran it in all cycles, again did a belly flop onto the 4.0 I6 and buttoned everything back together.
Surprisingly didn't break any of the 20 year old
Plastic connectors, or clips !!
