The thought has risen of a Bronco II 7.5 inch

And this also would give me "Juice" Rear Brakes

Might be hard to find a single cylinder master these days - but a clutch master (any S10 manual, others)) ought to do the job!

      Here is today's progress.
      Sorry didn't get many pictures.

My morning was interrupted by a call from
a Rusty Iron Friend that her Furnace was out.
Perfect !!! It was -16° F below last night and
It was only - 12° F when she called.
She already has determined that the Fan
Motor has given up the Ghost !! A new Capacitor didn't do the trick.
WELL, Mister who DOESN'T Throw anything away!!! Saved the entire Furnace Fan Housing
when I had to Replace My Furnace last year in February.
Between the two of us, got the fan motor out,
As Getting that Stubborn Squirrel Cage Fan
Off the Shaft was not "Like In The Video" !!
I know it runs....showed her first, and
      Stated:
I am TRYING to Reduce my NOS
Inventory ....It is A NO Returns Part(s)
      if it doesn't fit.
Haven't heard from her yet so it must be working.

      Oh, yeah
      The pictures

In the last pix, it is looking like a Cool

This project might have just taken a Left Turn !

          Today's progress.

The morning was spent sizing ideas up for the
rear Frame and Seat brackets. Also finding parts
          for the engine upgrades.

This afternoon, worked on the Upper Frame Mount to the Old Upper Shock Mounts.

Level and Center Line the Two Frames, a Couple of Spot Welds to hold things together.

Tomorrow will remove the Engine from the Frame, separate the two frames, and Finish ALL the welds.

            Yesterday was another morning of
            Visualizing and Measurements for
            The Rear Axle and Seat.

Going back to the Initial Plan for a
            Simple Light Weight "Cheezy" build
            of Repurposed Parts.
Going to use the Riding Mower Axle
and use 4 Pillow Block Bearings instead
of the TWO Socket Style Bearings of
            the original set up.
Also going to use smaller diameter tires
than the 14" Car Tires. Looking at a set of
4:80 x 12 boat trailer tires or a used set of
Garden Tractor tires. Two things, this will reduce the Ground Speed and Torque on the Axle Shaft.

Here's just a picture of pieces laid out.

Going to use some Shelf Uprights that I have accumulated with NO Shelves or Cross Bars,
for the Rear Frame and Overhead Structure.

I did get the Oil Drained and the Two Frames Separated, and the engine removed by Quitting
            Time.

Again All WENT Well yesterday in the
              "Lost Home Boys Garage" !!

Since we have the Two Frames apart, now would be the best time to Weld On the extra
set of Motorcycle Shocks on the Front Forks.

Thinking Ahead, (You caught me, It Doesn't Happen Often!!) that Moped Front End is only
Springs and Not a Hydraulic Fork Tube. It was
designed for a Single Person and the weight of the Moped. It would be Bottoming Out with the additional weight of the build and
One Hard Stop could actually do it in!

So,.....add a Bigger Suspension. In the Pile
of "NOS" Parts in the Very First Pix, you will see
              Old Motorcycle Coil Over Shocks.

              Here is our solution.
Weld on Brackets to the Side of the Existing Fork Tubes, and Mount some Old Honda CB360T shocks from "Inventory ".

First made two of these Bottom Mounts.

Grind off the Chrome, align and Weld onto the Bottom Tube.

Progress is happening, but not much worth taking pictures of.

Saturday did a Parts Safari for some items,
and got caught up on all the welds. A lot of
Layout and Ideas time on Sunday.

Today the "Stage 1 Engine Kit" came so was able to get that installed.

The kit is a New size larger carb to replace the "Non Adjustable!!" OEM carb, two larger size main jets, a different Emulsion Tube, a K&N air cleaner with a Adapter Venturi, gaskets, and a
                      Breather Vent Filter.

The breather filter is Just On There, and will Final Fit It once I have a better layout on the
                      Rear Frame set up.

There has been Progress, but as mentioned,
Road Trips to get....Steel, a New Tire to match the Donated one, Reduction Sprockets for the Jack Shaft, return a Defective Trickle Charger,
and restock of Nuts, Bolts, and Washers...

So got the two frames back together, and
with two tires, axle shaft Iron, we can now
                          Start Size up and layout.
Lots of Looking, Thinking, and Ideas before

A drill press is a Good Thing! I had a HF floor model for years but when I did the Volvo engine installation Dick gave me a big Delta floor model as a Thank You gift. It's a great tool.

I have been keeping my eye out for a Floor model at a price I could afford for a few years.
Wasn't shopping for a bench model, but
Opportunity Knocked and I Answered the Door Bell on this one.

So this week, I will build a Base for it, like I did for the Bead Roller out of a 55 gallon Plastic Drum and steel I bought Friday.

We have a "Second Hand Steel Store" a half hour drive away. It's Amazing What he has for inventory, and it's sold by the POUND !!
Just keep the type metals separated, brass, stainless, and Iron.
Round Stock, Flat Stock, Angle Iron, Tubing..... doesn't matter, Just keep piling it on the scale.

Concrete, it’s in the blood! I’m Italian heritage on my father’s side… those bases look like Chicago overshoes! The base of my lathe has 100+ pounds of concrete down low, it stays put and doesn’t vibrate at all.
