Today's project:

Fuel cell rack so far. It will be covered in sheet metal per NHRA rules.



The top of the cell will be below the bed and I will make a lid to conceal it and to protect it from stuff I put in the bed.

Actually, this is pretty cool stuff you're doing, even if it's Ford stuff :D . I especially liked your jig approach to the injector galley in the intake - very clever and very clean. I'll be interested to see how this turns out.

Time? Well I've been collecting parts since '05. I had to wait until I was finished building my shop before I could really get into it and it was just a slab when I decided to go with a BB. I actually don't have as much time in it as it seems, since most weeks I only fiddle with it for a couple of hours. I'm going slow, but I want to do it right and not have a bunch of stuff to redo later. Since I am going slow, I have had the luxury to re-think many aspects of this build and avoid mistakes. Besides, I think building them is half the fun.

nissan 300ZX wheels? nice choice. Haven't seen that wheel swap in quite some time. Ford Probe GT 16's will fit your ranger too. cool project. keep the pics coming.

I wanted a wheels:

• that were not flashy
• that you don't see on a Ranger very often
• that were OEM quality
• that would be easy to clean
• that had the correct BS to tuck the rear tires in
• and that were cheap. LOL

Besides, I am kinda sick of seeing prostars and draglites on EVERYTHING at the track. Hopefully these will lend a little bit of stealth to the truck.... when it's not running. ;D

I did have some American Racing wheels that were for a Probe on my first V8 swap Ranger waaay back in 1994.


This is my battery enclosure I made from a govt surplus modular filing cabinet section and drawer. PLASMA CUTTERS RULE. Needed something to make the battery in the bed a little more secure. ;D

What's real funny is that the pickup is a govt surplus item as well. LOL

headers look awesome. home grown is bitchin' plus they look they'll work. Just get some wrap on those brake lines or maybe make a cool heat sheild for the whole master.

Thanks! Yes I do think a heat shield is in order. The lines have some more room since the pic was taken, but I think the m/c will still get hot. Maybe I'll make one when my knuckles heal. ;D
