I was tuning a buddies 2500HD 8.1 with turbo truck, when i got the itch to make my own. I sold my old crew and found a 2500HD with 6.0/4l80e already lifted and "Bubba-ized" already with dual 3" exhaust and glasspacks.
I got a turbo tuner kit from a company in WY for a 1/2ton stock suspension 4wd and let the cutoff wheel and welder do the rest. Turbo is a Master Power 70mm, 60lb Motron injectors, GM 2Barr MAP, ZO6 valve springs, and Walbro 255g/hr intank pump. Looking at full boost (8-9psi) at 2500-3400 rpms for towing and fun. I still have a few things to finishup, then its on to tuning. Once this project is done its either finish the 70 2wd shortbed Chevy (5.3/th350), or go big on a 49 Plymouth 4door (5.3/th350/8.8)
